Accessibility Statement

We want anybody who needs a dumpster to be able to arrange one, whatever they are using to browse. This sets out what we have done, where we know the site falls short, and how to get hold of us if it stops you.

1. What we are aiming at

We build against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. We treat that as the target we are working towards rather than a badge we have earned: the site has not been through an independent accessibility audit, so we are not going to tell you it fully conforms.

2. What we have done

  • Pages are built with ordinary headings, lists and landmarks, so screen readers and reader modes can follow them.
  • Every job photo carries descriptive alternative text.
  • Links, buttons and forms can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone.
  • Text is set at a size that can be enlarged in the browser without the layout breaking.
  • We check colour contrast on text and buttons against the AA thresholds.
  • Nothing on the site flashes, auto-plays or moves on its own.

3. Where we know it falls short

  • The online booking screen is not ours. It is supplied by another company and embedded into our estimate page, so its accessibility is outside our control. If it does not work for you, use the phone number below — booking by phone gets you the same price.
  • The map on our city pages is a Google Maps panel with the same caveat. Everything the map shows — the towns we cover and how to reach us — is also written out as text on the page.
  • The size and cost calculators are interactive and have had less accessibility attention than the rest of the site. If one is awkward to use, call and we will size the container with you.
  • No independent audit. Our checks are our own, which means we will have missed things.

4. If something does not work

Tell us and we will fix it. Call or text (417) 241-2996, or email Junkitrolloffs@gmail.com. It helps if you can say which page you were on and what you were trying to do, but tell us anyway if you cannot.

You never have to use the website to hire from us. Everything on it — pricing, sizes, delivery, pickup — can be arranged by phone with a person.

As we fix the items above, this page is updated to match, and the effective date at the top changes with it.
